Although I only needed a place to crash after a 12h drive I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanness of  the place and friendliness of the staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Not a place to relax
PostedApril 7, 2013
First the positives, location & rates - Probably a good choice for people on the go. I needed a respite from having a loved one in the hospital but the thin walls, main road noise and awful pillows and bed made for no sleep or relaxation. Too much noise above, below and hallways as well as the never ending road noise was a big negative.

Nice staff, good quality hotel for the price. Quiet hotel, clean room with fridge, limited breakfast. Limited parking. Area around hotel is quiet and lots of places to purchase necessities. I will stay there again.

The Brookstone Lodge very inviting & down home feeling
PostedFebruary 26, 2013
The stay was great. We were originally given a small room, but requested a larger one, they were glad to accommodate us at no extra charge for the larger room. Great breakfast!!Fabulous location, close to Biltmore, & downtown Asheville. Would definitely stay here again & again. For the price it was unbeatable. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Loved our stay at Brookstone
PostedDecember 12, 2012
My daudghter and I stayed at Brookstone the weekend after Thanksgiving so we could visit sites around Ashville. We were very pleased with our stay, the quietness and comfort and great staff.
We'll definitely return.

Very nice place to stay. so close to the Biltmore Estates and downtown. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was nice. Very crowded there but the hotel was full also. I would definitely recommend Brookstone Lodge.

Nice accommodations
PostedNovember 14, 2012
We were on a 2 week vacation. This was the first stop and this was our return visit also.
Check in is flawless. Elevator set up leaves a bit to be desired. Difficult turn in with luggage cart and others find it a pinch to ride with you and cart.
Room clean and comfy, could be brighter with a bit larger trash receptacle.
Full breakfast was fine, not expansive but a good send off fir the day.

great location if new to area, right off Hwy 40, easy to find your way back
PostedOctober 23, 2012
overall, it is a good place to stay. Little things like low water pressure, one elevator, and not so friendly desk clerks, they seemed to try not to make eye contact, so they would not have to say "hello". Oh ya, the pillows are to hard.

Great location, wonderful people
PostedAugust 13, 2012
We spent three nights here. The staff was extremely helpful and were full of information and suggestions about the Asheville area. The complimentary breakfast was a true breakfast, not three rolls and some coffee. Our room was immaculate. We would definitely recommend the Brookstone!

NO PETS
PostedAugust 1, 2012
It was posted that this hotel allowed pets. I asked what the additional pet charge was when I called the toll free number to book my room and was reassured that there was not an additional charge for pets. When we arrived at 12 at night, we noticed the "No Pets Allowed" sign on the door. I went in to check in and to my horror was assured that this hotel does not allow pets. I had to wake my daughter, a college student 30 minutes away, to come and get the dog. Her rental does not allow pets either, but we felt we had to risk getting caught rather than being denied entry. Thank goodness we had someone to call. We kept thinking what would we have done if she was not available to come?

Great location, great staff and very clean
PostedJuly 28, 2012
Overall, this was a very nice hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and the staff was very nice and helpful. My only criticism is in regards to a strange smell that was in our room. It wasn't a "bad smell", but more like the smell of wood or fabric. It was very noticeable when entering the room.

Perfect for family of 5
PostedJuly 13, 2012
Great room with 2 Queens and a sleeper sofa -- perfect for a family with 3 teenagers. Small but clean indoor pool, nice spa, really good breakfast. Only minor complaint was bathtub didn't drain well. Not much near the hotel on this street except a Subway, but Biltmore and many restaurants were a short, easy exit away.

This hotel was a good price for the amenities.
PostedJune 28, 2012
We enjoyed being five miles from the Biltmore Estate, although the industrial location was a little odd at first sight. The hot tub, pool, and the free breakfast were pros for the reasonable cost. It would have been nice to have a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

My family and I stayed here this past week, and we were very pleased with this hotel. It is located right off the tollway and just a few blocks from the popular Asheville shopping/restaurant district. It is very clean, and the staff was super friendly! The free breakfasts in the mornings were wonderful which includes everything under the sun. The bathrooms looked remodeled, and there was enough room to accomodate the five of us (kids are 12 and under). Pool and hottub was clean and relaxing.

cozy room
PostedJune 13, 2012
The hotel isn't actually a lodge in the woods somewhere. It is located on the corner of the interstate and a major highway. It is a nice place to stay, clean, cute room and nice hot (eggs and sausage, waffles) breakfast. We got the single queen room and it is very tiny, but it was comfy and had a nice sized bathroom, small fridge and microwave and flat-screened TV but no HGTV channel. All in all, a nice place to stay for the money. Plan on staying for several days in the Ashville area; as there are many things to do and see. Beautiful place!

No complaints. Very good location for our needs.
PostedApril 25, 2012
I have no complaints about this hotel but just a heads up. Our room was on the first floor. Exercise room and pool are also on first floor and were right beside our room. One of the walls of our room was also a wall of the workout room. A cable/pulley type exercise machine was actually attached to this wall. We were in town for a youth volleyball tourney so there were a lot of 14-16 year olds in and out of both the exercise room and pool. Pretty noisy area especially when they were using the exercise equipment. But once we got settled in and was ready for bed everyone else started doing the same so it never really became an issue for us but folks that like hitting the bed early just need to be aware of this area.

Located close to Biltmore which is great.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast buffet was nice. I wish they had more seating area but there was a volleyball tournament which meant more people. Maybe on a normal day without any tournaments the breakfast area would seem more roomy.
