Had a really great time, insane quality for the price. To top it off they bring you fresh baked chocolate chip cookies to your room everyday! Who can beat that.

My daughter, granddaughter and I chose this blind from the internet. We were to arrive in Camden late in the evening by Concord Coach and expected to call a taxi to take up to the INN. Imagine our surprise when we discovered the bus stop was next door to the INN. That was so wonderful and so convenient we couldn't have been happier. But that was only the beginning of our happy surprises. This place is truly lovely. The staff is warm and friendly and the rooms are lovely and homey. We stayed in an unattached cottage it made it seem like our own country cabin. we loved it. Definitely a 5-Star place without the 5-star price. if I get back to Camden I will sure plan on staying here.

They allow dogs
PostedApril 12, 2011
Stayed here because they are a good option for places in the area that allow dogs. Downside was that we had to stay in a room specifically for pet owners. We have allergies, and the room had a bit of an old pet smell, as it must not be cleaned really thoroughly. The room was carpeted. We left the door open throughout our stay and were able to breathe, just barely. Would definitely recommend this place if you have a dog and do not have allergies as the staff is great and the place i s nice.

Ideal location for trips to Camden, Rockland, and surrounding areas. Large, heated indoor pool. Breakfast buffet was a step above the usual "continental" fare. We stayed in the main motel building but the cabins also looked charming. We plan on staying again in May of 2011 while visiting my mother in Rockland.

Great Choice.

We stayed here three nights in July 2009. We were glad to find something with no minimum stay that offered a cottage. Our cottage had a trundle bed two twin mattresses in the main room along with a small frig, microwave and wet bar. The bedroom was separated from the main room by double doors and had a king sized bed and a full bath. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The location was excellent -- not on the water but near to many great Maine coastal towns. The breakfast in the morning was good enough, though we'd highly recommend the Home Kitchen Cafe in Rockland or maybe it was Rockport?. The indoor pool came in handy when we had a rainy day after we had enjoyed a visit to the Owl's Head Transportation Museum. Our cottage was a duplex, so there was some noise when people moved in next door during the evening. Most of the cottages are not duplex though. The surroundings are peaceful and attractive. We arrived later than I originally had expected and since it was after 10 PM, they left a key in an envelope outside the front door. That was a little odd to me, having lived near big cities, but it worked out fine.

A Lovely place, nicely located

Mid-September could probably be called the 'shoulder season' for Maine coastal properties. My wife, daughter and I were looking to do a quick getaway, but we didn't want to book too far in advance in fear of poor weather. So, on the Tuesday before the trip, I checked into mid-Maine coastal hotels and Inns and came across this one. The pictures looked nice, and the description seemed to be right up our alley. The Inn had availability for the Saturday night, so we booked it. Our drive to the Inn from Kennebunkport area was reasonable and without much problem (a GPS error was the only issue). The Country Inn sits right on Route 1. But don't let that worry you: It sits back from the road. The rooms are lovely and spacious, the indoor pool is huge, and a free breakfast starts your day off right. You're mere minutes from both Camden and Rockland/Rockport, so good shopping is nearby.
