A simple place but very convient to freeways and to the San Jose Airport. The breakfast is always good at La Quinta.

We picked this because of the shuttle service. We called for a shuttle a few minutes after 11PM. They stop at 11. Your infromation did not specify this. We had to pay $20 for a cab.

Do you like airplane noise?

This is not your typical La Quinta. It is very old and very noisy. Let me repeat...VERY NOISY. Walkng alomg the nasty corridors, doors are open with music playing, partying into the night, and lots of activity in the parking lot. Add to this, a jumbo jet shaking the rafters every 10 minutes. It is directly beneath the takeoff point of the San Jose Airport. Those planes make a lot of noise boys and girls. The rooms are dingy and stale and the walls are paper thin. There are much better deals in the area.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great stopover hotel.

I had to stay here for one night in order to catch an early flight. My original reservation had been made for a third floor room, but the hotel had no elevators. When the desk clerk saw that my suitcase was very heavy he immediately moved me to a ground floor room. The hotel van took me to the airport very early the next morning. The hotel is within walking distance to a couple of restaurants, so very convenient for me since I didn't have a car. I would definitely stay here again!

This was a decent hotel, but it shouldn't be a 3*. Its close to airport so can hear planes. Its a bit older hotel, and tv quality was poor. Free breakfast and internet was great.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for three nights and our room was always cleaned in a timely manner. SUPER close to the airport which was a plus, and easy access to US-101 in order to travel into San Jose or north to Palo Alto and San Fran.

Hotel is close to airport, and a great value. Free parking. I also used the free computer in the lobby. Hotel was clean. We have stayed there two seperate times.

I have not even stayed their yet and I'm mad!
I booked it because it was listed as Down town San Jose
It's all the way out by the Airport, a 20 minute drive to down town.
Also there is no way this is a three star hotel.
two star at best.
P.S. I no idea yet as to the hotel but I just gave it low ratings for lying!

We enjoyed our brief but restful stay at this La Quinta Hotel.Our visit to CA had been brief, and we were now on our way home - early the next day. We had a quick visit at the hotel - but will remember it as a quiet, very clean and comfortable, and welcoming place to stay........We will return if we stay in San Jose. The shuttle driver and front desk clerk were both very friendly and helpful... Thank you!

Good bargain for a single male traveller

Hotel staff was polite and checked in with me to see if all was ok when I got to the room. The room was older but clean. Most important bathroom was clean.
The area is not one where I would recommend to a female friend; their was cops onsite when I was checking out in the early am. The breakfast was not much in comparision to other La Quintas.
That said for a budget traveller this was a good buy.

Cons: Poor breakfast

Undergoing Rennovations Could have better, could have been worse

We stayed here as it was affordable and within our limitied budget. We unfortunately were their during remodel, and our room was in the midst of the remodel, they had just replaced the carpet, but hadn't put in the flat screen. I was a little surprised that they didn't scrape the popcorn ceilings and repaint the room, that would have gone much farther than new carpet and a flat screen tv.

While the overall stay was good, there were approximately 200 Korean students (for a Bible conference) staying at our hotel....they were boisterous during the night (every night they were there-they stayed for one week) while guests were sleeping. When we went for breakfast, they were actually hoarding the food...filling containers they brought with them to the top with juice, coffee, etc. We go to breakfast by 7 am and found remnants of food..no pastries were left..juice was gone, spilled all over. We were there for one week and I did not get a waffle until the last day we were there. These folks (adults included) seemed to think that the food was there to take out for their subsequent meals during the day. One woman actually stood over the waffle iron until she had made 4 or 5 waffles, put syrup over them (dripping the sticky stuff on the floor) and took them with her on the bus....I watched her do it. I felt this was unfair and extremely poor in manners. While your breakfast is a welcome plus for LaQuinta, I think it needs to monitor such behavior.
I must give extra credit to your clean-up staff, because they had the place immaculate with an hour of the groups departure, however, it might be nice to establish sound rules with folks like this before they enter the hotel.
I would stay here again, however, if a large group like this was behaving in this manner,I would shorten my stay and not reccommend the place to others.

My husband and I did a weekend getaway and because of the last minute limited budget, we were looking for an inexpensive nice place. Well we found it here. The rooms have been recently renovated so they were nice and clean. The linen was nice and clean and we had a sufficient amount of towels. The morning breakfast was good and included a good selection. Overall, our stay was comfortable and very affordable. I would definitely reccomend this hotel.

Great Deal and Excellent Hotel

The person at the counter was very friendly. The room was very clean and the carpet looked new. The bed was so soft and very comfortable. The air conditioner worked great and cooled down the room right away since it was a hot summer day. It's in a very quiet business area, right off the freeway. There is a gas station and a Burger King next door. They did have waffles/cereal/donuts in the morning but we chose to eat out. I will be staying there again when I'm in town.
