UTELL INTERNATIONAL Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto
The Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto is located in the surroundings with the beautiful Kyoto Mountains. A variety of authentic Sukiya-style teahouses are located in the Japanese Gardens providing a flavor of traditional Kyoto. The hotel is adjacent to the Kyoto International Center and a five-minute walk to Kokusai Kaikan Station (Karasumaru subway line).

The Grand Prince Hotel in Kyoto, Japan was one of the best experiences I have ever had in staying at a hotel. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was simply amazing. The staff promoted saving our environment with free breakfast if you reused your towels- what a concept! The gift store was better than many shops downtown, and the walking paths made exercising a joy. The subway was minutes away, and the staff made finding the sites easy. I have no complaints, which is rare.
Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, beautiful setting
Cons: the breakfast is expensive- so reuse towels
I would recommend this to a friend!

slightly tattered grand hotel

This hotel is located in the beautiful hills above Kyoto within walking distance of the train station. It is a lovely building, however the upkeep is showing strain. The hallway carpets were stained, the room was slightly worn looking, though clean. The staff were helpful but seemed somewhat over-worked. There was no shuttle service into town; things that I would have expected from a luxury hotel. Aside from this, the hotel stay was quite enjoyable as it is a beautiful hotel. It is just not being kept up to the standard one would expect.
