Nice hotel but very expensive

Everything was very expensive-restaurants, drinks, and transportation. We found out quickly that the hotel pushed their transportation service and weren't accepting of cab service which was much cheaper. Literally had to argue with hotel staff to get us a cab that wasn't part of their expensive transportation service. The only free rides available were to Disney. Everywhere else was very expensive. Also, when using the hotel services to help us with our theme park passes they immediately tried to fool us into getting discounted tickets if we attended their 90 minute seminar to sell us something. When we expressed we weren't interested they weren't as helpful and weren't able to help us with any discounts or give any helpful information. They did however quote us theme park pass prices that they claimed were the same price as if we bought them at the park. Thankfully we chose to wait to purchase our tickets at the gate and found that the tickets were cheaper at the gate than if we had bought them at the hotel. Felt like we were being taken for a ride every time we turned around.

This place was near perfect for the money. It was just a few minutes away from Disney. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy, the two TVs were huge. My only complaint was the wifi ($10 per day) was inconsistent and hard to stay connected, which was unfortunate since I had work to do during my stay.

JUST OK / BETTER CHOICES / POOL TOO SMALL FOR AMOUNT OF PEOPLE , NOT ENOUGH SEATS, 15+ KIDS IN HOT TUB !!, PARKING TERRIBLE , FAR WALK IF YOU GET TO RESORT AFTER 7PM. I HAVE STAYED IN MANY HOTELS IN THE AREA, THIS HOTEL WAS JUST OK .

POOL TOO SMALL FOR QUANTITY OF PEOPLE , NOT ENOUGH SEATING !!! PARKING VERY POOR , LEFT VEHICLE IN REMOTE PARKING LOT !! FELT UNSAFE AND LONGER WALK TO HOTEL.
I have stayed in much nicer hotel's in Orlando. I will not return to this hotel.

This hotel was ok, but not great. Missing coffee in the room when we got there and the bedside lamp was broken. We called and left a note about the lamp but it still was not replaced when we returned. I called the front desk on 2 or 3 different occasions and no one answered. Beds were comfortable, but noisy hallways. Difficult to find a parking spot in the evening.

Don' t bother. This place has the gall to charge for internet use. The staff was rude and not helpful. I would not recommend this place. I had better service, free internet, free breakfast and free parking at the Comfort Inn.

I spent 3 nights and was very pleased with all aspects. I did not use bus transportation but had easy drives to all the parks. I would stay here again.

We only stayed one night but we wished it could have been longer. It was a very nice place and there was plenty to see and do right on the grounds that our one night was just not enough.

We stayed at the Caribe Royale over New Year's. We had booked this hotel specifically because of its reviews on-line and free shuttle service to-and-from the Disney parks. The room itself was a nice-sized suite. However, we had the impression from the reviews and website that this hotel was a higher end hotel than it is. Internet service is an additional $10 per day and the dining options were fair at best, including their fancy option the Venetian Room. The breakfast buffet was overpriced. Our biggest disappointment with our stay was the reliability of the shuttle services. Each shuttle we took (to and from Disney, to and from the premium outlets) was late. In the morning when we were hopeful to arrive at the parks around their opening time, the shuttle was 20 mins late, and we could see the seats were all full and people were already standing in the aisles. We opted to take a cab. Cab to the Magic Kingdom is approx $30 and to the closer parks is approx $15. There is a shuttle to the airport that serves several area hotels and that it approx $45. There are some restaurants and coffee shops nearby, but not within walking distance.

Lots to do at the hotel. The pool is great for the summer time. There are arcades, restuaraunts, a very nice fitness center.

For a family of five the two bedroom villa is a fair value as opposed to the exorbitant money Disney asks of you to be on property, and you are as close as you can be. Two drawbacks; 1) The floor/wall thickness is not there, the people above us were constantly in and out of their balcony sliding glass door, and it sounded like rolling thunder all day and night. 2) There was a peculiar large presence of security and local sheriffs on the property. To the point that I questioned if there was some large need for it that we should have been warned ahead of time by management.

A great hotel. Just a few things which could have been better. The shower enclosure had a piece broken, which should have been repaired. The pool was out of service for a few days. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Yes you can have Breakfast with a bill, yes you can have Wifi $10 a day??? I was surprised they didn't charge for the water slide or towel.
Expect a charge for EVERYTHING.
3 miles to anywhere.
Shuttles are useful to get you to the park, not back. We had to use cabs, as they were late or didn't stop.

I enjoyed my stay at Caribe Royale Orlando during early December. The decorations for Christmas were lovely. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The pool was being updated but that was not an issue for me. I plan to stay there again in the future.
