This lodging experience did not disappoint in any way. I felt welcome from the first few minutes throughout the stay!

This is a truly great place to stay in Philadelphia. Convenient to downtown, convention center, other large convention hotels, and yet perfectly personal and intimate. My room was not large, but all in it including a great work desk, fabulous bed, and spacious bath/shower was top of the line. Convenient in hotel food and bar were also excellent in service and quality. It felt like I was staying in a Five Star Hotel at a lot less cost. You will not be disappointed in this choice.

Super nice accomodations....WOW!
PostedMarch 20, 2013
We stayed a Thurs and Friday night and I was very impressed with the hotel aesthetically. Beautiful decor and overall layout. The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very polite and thorough, though not particularly "friendly". This perception could be because we're old skool "southerners" who tend to be over the top friendly! I will definitely recommend this hotel to others (I'm a business traveler with many contacts in and around the Philadelphia area), and the pricing was FANTASTIC!

Just what we wanted
PostedMarch 6, 2013
We stayed for two nights in order to go to the Barnes Collection and to the Flower Show. Both were a short walk from the hotel. The Meridien is very well located for most anything a tourist might wish to do in Philadelphia. Many excellent restaurants nearby as well, of course. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The room was not large, but was clean and comfortable. Internet free IF you are (or become) a Starwood member. Fitness facility is small but quite adequate. We went to the city by train, so did not deal with parking. This is not a luxury, 4 star hotel, but we found it to be very nice and would certainly stay there again.

Comfort, style and service.
PostedJanuary 26, 2013
My wife and I spent two days in Philadelphia, simply to see the city and get away from everyday life. Le Meridien was the perfect hotel in a perfect location. Located in Center City they offered valet parking at a fair price. The staff was extremely courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. The room itself was outstanding. Much larger and more comfortable than what you usually get in a downtown metropolis. The hotel restaurant was our lone disappointment. While the meal was good, it was a bit pricey and service was friendly but slow.

Awesome location in City Center!
PostedDecember 1, 2012
The Le Meridien is in the heart of City Center with everything within walking distance of the hotel. I recommend parking at the Convention Center Parking garage on Broad St right near the hotel to save on overnight parking. We stayed for 4 nights over Thanksgiving weekend and had a great time with no issues.

Terrific Location and Staff
PostedSeptember 12, 2012
Overall, a positive experience. I wish the hotel offered a few more amenities (a modest complimentary breakfast and wifi, for example), but the staff is attentive and friendly, the bar is welcoming, and our room was very clean and quiet -- but smallish, with two double beds and a single chair. There's not much room to sit and enjoy a drink or read unless you're comfortable lounging on a bed.

Excellent choice for staying in Philadelphia
PostedJune 28, 2012
I was in town on a business trip but flew up early with my husband so that we could explore a new and intriguing city. My company originally wanted to put us up at the Ritz Carlton but I felt it to be too pretentious for mine and my husband's tastes. I researched all the hotels in the downtown area and found this one to be the most interesting. Very glad I went here because it definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff is so courteous and helpful, it's in a fantastic location for walking to everything you want to see downtown, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I will return again!

Thoroughly modern and mostly great
PostedApril 17, 2012
Our immediate positive impression came from the friendly, bustling staff who made us feel terrifically welcome. The lobby is so modern and spiffy, and the building itself--formerly a YMCA, I think--is interesting. The room was smallish but very stylish and pretty with a great bed. My biggest peeve was the layout and the furniture. Instead of a comfortable chair, there was a huge desk (but no free Internet) that took up a lot of room and served little function. The single chair was a high sort of bar stool--no place you could sit and read or just relax. The bathroom was roomy and luxurious, though.
The restaurant was the real find. Great, innovative, not-too-expensive food with a wonderful wait staff and a vibrant wine selection. The bar was lively and fun, without being too noisy. We enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant (Amuse) as well. It's good that the restaurant is so fine. There are no others very close to the hotel.

Great stay - cheap on wallet!
PostedNovember 28, 2011
Stayed here Thanksgiving evening - had booked in advance and got a really great deal for the quality and location. Great decor, very swanky and modern feel. Checked in with friendly staff, had drinks at the packed bar and slept the best I had in months in the amazingly comfortable bed. Definitely felt like luxury for cheap prices! Definitely stay here if visiting Philly, and ask for a room facing south for a great view!

Beautiful hotel but hotel staff could loosen up a bit.
PostedNovember 15, 2011
The hotel was beautiful, room was perfect, everything extremely clean. Staff was not rude but not friendly either. NOTHING is free. I'm surprised they don't charge for air consumption, but they are just going along with every other big city hotel. Only real problem I had was with the valet service. Our vehicle was damaged by the valet, but not reported by the attendant to their employers. Unfortunately we did not notice the damage till after we left with the vehicle so we had to pay for the damages. A report was made with the valet service and hotel manager and i'm awaiting a reply, but i'm sure i'll be stuck with the $250 deductible since I left before checking the vehicle.

I like the feel of the lobby with modern and warm atmosphere. Very clean and decent space of the rooms, although I wish wifi was free.
Staff was friendly from the doorman to the front desk. Really nice fitness center and cool center courtyard.

More than just a great location.
PostedOctober 5, 2011
The location was just what we wanted -- in the heart of the walkable city of Philadelphia. The hotel is a mix of the classic old Y building details -- wood paneling, etc. with the ultra-modern Meridien style. The staff was warm and friendly. The bar (front & center in the lobby -- service ends at 11) was nice to hang out in after an evening in the city. Valet parking seemed expensive ($38) but worth it in the maze of Philly streets. A hotel with high-end comfort and style.
